Cosmetics has come a long way from being all natural to now having chemicals that may potentially harm us. How ironic for cosmetics were meant to enhance our appearance and make us feel confident and better, but only brings us more harm the more we are exposed to it. Cosmetics has changed the way we perceive beauty. With the industries coming up with higher and higher standards of beauty, it has caused an unseen rift amongst all. If such corporations can sway a person’s thinking, we as designer hold more power than we realise. Every stroke and every design we mass produce needs to drive a message that does not separate people, but instead bring us closer together.
